Rebekah Nellis Kennedy is a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of Albany Law School of Union University, and a 2004 graduate of the University at Albany, SUNY. While in law school, Rebekah took part in numerous Moot Court activities, in addition to working as a professor's research assistant and as a teaching fellow in several areas of law. She also worked at the Albany Law School Clinic and Justice Center, where she represented domestic violence survivors, and at the Albany County District Attorney's Office in the Special Victims Unit. Following her graduation from law school, Rebekah took a position as an Appellate Court Attorney for the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department, where she conducted extensive research in many different areas of law, drafted reports analyzing cases pending on appeal, recommended dispositions to the Court, and edited Court decisions.

Rebekah is a member of the American and New York State Bar Associations, as well as the Capital District Women's Bar Association, where she serves on the Diversity and Gender Fairness Committee. She is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.
