KRACKELER, ESQ. INCLUDED IN 2007 "BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA" LIST:
Menands Appellate Attorney Selected from 1.6 Million Confidential Evaluations
MENANDS (February 15, 2005) -- Christine Kirwin Krackeler, Esq. of Menands, a partner in the Menands-based law firm of D'Agostino, Krackeler, Baynes & Maguire, P.C., has been selected for inclusion in the 2007 Best Lawyers in America list.
Krackeler, who concentrates her practice in appellate law, was chosen as a result of an exhaustive survey of the legal profession in which 18,000 leading attorneys throughout the country submitted more than 1.6 million individual evaluations on legal abilities of other lawyers representing 57 specialties of law in all 50 states and Washington, DC.
"I'm honored to be included in this publication," said Krackeler, who serves on the board of trustees of Maria College in Albany and on the trustee council of Albany's Capital Repertory Theatre. "It's gratifying to be nominated based on votes cast by other attorneys."
A 1966 graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY, a 1976 Masters graduate of the University at Albany and a 1984 cum laude graduate of Albany Law School of Union University, Krackeler began her career as a law assistant at the Appellate Division, Third Department, New York State Supreme Court. Upon completing her clerkship, she entered private practice, concentrating in appeals and motion practice. She has argued before the New York State Court of Appeals, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and several New York appellate and trial courts.
An active member of the legal community, Krackeler has served on both the Third Department's Attorneys' Character and Fitness Committee and as Chairperson of the Albany County Bar Association's Attorney Grievance Committee. In addition to her membership in the New York State and Albany County Bar Associations, she is a member of the Capital District Women's Bar Association.
Touted by Corporate Counsel magazine as "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice," Best Lawyers in America is featured annually in national newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, Forbes, and The Washington Post.
